XIFI is a project funded by the 7th EU R&D Framework Programme, which, like FI-WARE, is part of the European Future Internet Public Private Partnership (FI-PPP).

Specifically, XIFI seeks to develop an advanced testing environment, distributed in different European countries, for testing applications on different testbeds. They would be interconnected with one another, in an environment which would be very similar to the European-wide deployment of these applications.
