INCIDENT HANDLING (IRIS-CERT Service)

INCIDENT SUPPORT. IRIS-CERT SERVICE.

The RedIRIS security incident response service is intended to detect problems affecting the security of RedIRIS centre networks, and to carry out coordinated actions with these centres to address these problems.

It also performs preventive functions, warning of potential problems in advance, providing advice to centres, organising activities with them and offering complementary services.
IRIS-CERT provides a full response service to RedIRIS's member institutions. It also provides limited service (incident coordination) for the entire ".es" domain.
The valid IRIS-CERT spokespersons are responsible for the data centres of member institutions. IRIS-CERT never provides a direct service to end users in the community; it always does so through member institutions.
