FedSSH is a technology solution based on OpenSSH which is able to get user's public keys from a directory in order to integrate SSH servers with a federated infrastructure. Also, an institution, even they don't want to share their machines in a federation, can take advantage of this solution since this make easier the management of the policy access to their nodes.

This is possible thanks to a policy defining the user's rights are not based on who he is but on his attributes.
