File types blocked by RedIRIS Service (Lavadora)
For security reasons, the electronic mail, from the Internet to the domains protected by the RedIRIS Lavadora service, certain actions are applied:
Emails with password protected files
To protect the accounts of domains protected for RedIRIS services , it is not allowed to attach certain types of files. Emails with password protected attachments are considered suspicious and will be delivered to the final destination with a warning label or deposited in the quarantine area
File types that cannot be attached to messages
RedIRIS services frequently updates unsupported file types to deal with malicious software, which is constantly changing. For example:
Attachment types not allowed
Extensions not allowed
For security reasons these extensions are not allowed by the RedIRIS mail security service
REMEMBER: For security reasons, emails including attachments with an .EXE extension are NOT ALLOWED. Check your attachments if they contain .EXE files
What can you do ?
If it is clear that the file is safe, it can be sent to the recipient using RedIRIS Filesender or other services such as We transfer, or WeSendit or similar
