National Relations

National relations are focused on affiliated institutions (as well as establishment of affiliation agreements with candidate organizations) and building liaisons with other relared institutions in Spain.

International Relations

A fundamental role of RedIRIS is the participation in international activities related with its mission.

RedIRIS is a partner of DANTE, a trans-european network operator offering international network services to the European academic networks.

RedIRIS also participates in the european R&D networks association TERENA (formerly known as RARE) and in RIPE (the European forum of Internet service providers), as well as in the creation and funding of the Internet European coordination centre (RIPE-NCC). RedIRIS collaborates as well with DG XIII of the European Union working in advanced networking projects.

RedIRIS has signed memorandums of understanding with UCAID for acting as an international partner of the Internet2 initiative, and also with CUDI.
