Red Iberoamericana de Arqueozoologia

Information about

[Versión en castellano]

Iberoamerica is a region with multiple historical, cultural and natural connections. However, regional studies on archaeozoology have very scarce up until now. For this reason, the Red Iberoamericana de Arqueozoología (RIA, Ibero-american Network of Archaeozoology) was created as a forum to promote the interdisciplinary discussion on topics such as: human-animal relationships, subsistence patterns, animal domestication, faunal exchange between Europe and the Americas as well as methodologies related to these studies such as comparative osteology and taphonomy, among others.

For obvious reasons, the preferred language is Spanish, but contributions in other languages, in particular Portuguese, English and French will be most welcomed. See the instructions below in order to subscribe.
