The Cancer Epigenetics and Biology Symposium at Barcelona

The Cancer Epigenetics and Biology Symposium is organized and hosted by the Cancer Epigenetics and Biology Program (PEBC), lead by Dr Manel Esteller. The PEBC was launched in 2008 and is part of IDIBELL, a public foundation for biomedical research based on the Bellvitge Hospital Campus (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain). The sessions will take place at the Bellvitge Hospital Auditorium, will last for 2 days (May 28-29, 2009) and will host a total of 16 plenary conferences given by some of the most recognized international experts in the field.

The main objective of the Symposium is to provide an opportunity for the best scientific experts in the field of cancer epigenetics and biology research to meet and exchange scientific views and knowledge. At a more general level, we wish it to be a means of contact between the members of the scientific world as well as a chance for scientists who are starting their career to have access to the latest discoveries made in the cancer epigenetics and genetics fields. The Symposium is thus open to the whole international scientific community, and more concretely to scientists who are developing their research in the field of cancer epigenetics.
